Lunar Research Institute Missions
The Lunar Research Institute had its beginning in
the creation and management of the Lunar Prospector Spacecraft.
Based on Lunar Prospector's spectacular scientific and programmatic
success, LRI is planning a series of unmanned missions to continue
the scientific exploration of the Moon and the development of
a lunar base which will serve as the basis for the first extraterrestrial
lunar colony.
If the USA is going to keep its preeminence in lunar exploration
